Position: Data Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and expansion of the firm's data pipeline architecture.
  • Ensure data integrity from source systems to the data warehouse.
  • Mentor and direct a team of data analytics engineers and ETL developers.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms.
  • Assess and implement new data sources and gathering techniques.
  • Optimize data pipelines and architectures for business requirements.
  • Oversee the data team and collaborate with IT leadership.
  • Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality through various tools and techniques.
  • Automate data preparation and integration tasks.
  • Develop data governance policies and best practices.
  • Coordinate with functional teams to implement and monitor models.
  • Monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Required Proficiencies:

  • Expertise in designing and managing data pipelines.
  • Advanced skills in analytics tools and scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python).
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, and SSAS.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL/Hadoop-oriented databases.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security.
  • Skills in troubleshooting complex issues and conveying technical concepts.
  • Data security awareness and experience with financial or legal industry data.
  • ETL experience with tools like Alteryx, Intapp Integrate, or Boomi is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years in data management disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and independently resolve issues.
