Position: Data Engineering Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and expansion of the firm's data pipeline architecture.
- Ensure data integrity from source systems to the data warehouse.
- Mentor and direct a team of data analytics engineers and ETL developers.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms.
- Assess and implement new data sources and gathering techniques.
- Optimize data pipelines and architectures for business requirements.
- Oversee the data team and collaborate with IT leadership.
- Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality through various tools and techniques.
- Automate data preparation and integration tasks.
- Develop data governance policies and best practices.
- Coordinate with functional teams to implement and monitor models.
- Monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Required Proficiencies:
- Expertise in designing and managing data pipelines.
- Advanced skills in analytics tools and scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python).
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Knowledge of NoSQL/Hadoop-oriented databases.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security.
- Skills in troubleshooting complex issues and conveying technical concepts.
- Data security awareness and experience with financial or legal industry data.
- ETL experience with tools like Alteryx, Intapp Integrate, or Boomi is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years in data management disciplines.
- At least 5 years of experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and independently resolve issues.
