What You’ll Do

  • Lead and contribute to complex transmission planning projects across a variety of utility clients and regions

  • Perform steady-state, transient, and dynamic analysis to ensure system adequacy and compliance with planning standards

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on system upgrades, new interconnections, and NERC-related initiatives

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical review of planning reports, power flow models, and study results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and active Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • 8–12 years of transmission planning experience within the utility or consulting space

  • Proficient in power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld) and familiar with FERC/NERC standards

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present study results to both technical and non-technical audiences
